The Islay distilleries

There are 9 distilleries on Islay. Today we will visit a couple, no not all of them as there is tomorrow!
On the way to the first distillery we came across an old church

Then we arrive at Kilchoman Distillery, there whiskys are typical Islay in as they are very smokey in taste. They use Peat to dry the malted barley.

From here just down the road is Bruichladdich distillery.  This will be one for Carolyn as they also make Gin.

That has me happy, a quick drive down the coast to see some of the little fishing villages.

Then we meet some of the locals
