Today we travel to the borders region, first stop the Rosslyn Chapel. These days famous for being one of the last sets for the Da Vinci Code.
No photography inside but nicked this from the internet.
Interesting history and hard to believe 40 years ago it had no windows and open to the weather. The interior covered in moss.
The remains of the nearby castle

From the outside just as beautiful.

From here we travel to Melrose passing sheep fields.
This is actually where Carolyns distant relatives were Sheppards.
Then we arrive at Melrose to see the old Abbey. This is where Robert the Bruces heart is apparently buried.
Of course another bit of trivia is Carolyn has links to once care takers of this great abbey.
But it is time for a drink, some great countryside then look another distillery.
Tough life!
