Heading off to the airport in a few hours so closing of this blog.

Must say the people in Scotland and Ireland are very impressive.There have been many things seen which had entry fees attached. Not one questioned me when I ask for a senior discounted ticket. How polite is that.

A look around Dublin

Caught the local bus into town then used the hop on hop off bus to get orientated. Makes it easy just being driven around hearing the history.

24 drop off points but only two seem to be used.

Yep the whiskey tour and Guinness tour.

Good to see even if there was a major petrol strike your mail will still be delivered if you use UPS

A lot of acknowledgment of Oscar Wilde.

But it is all the small pubs that give the area character.

We walked home via a couple of these pubs, just make sure they were as nice inside (they were).

Pub grub for dinner with a pint of Guinness.

Back to Dublin

Back to Dublin with a few stops

We are up and running.  First stop Blarney castle!
Tried to beat the crowd with an early start but when we saw the end of the que to kiss the stone it was already past the 1 hour wait flag.
I have decided my good looks have got me this far, who needs the gift of the gab.
So we explore the great gardens.

Look carolyn, they have a herb tasting garden..........Hee..Hee..Hee

Onto the Rock of Cashel in the heart of the county of Tipperary.

Then onto Kilkenny to visit its castle.

Finally onto Dublin to finish our little tour.

Is there time to go shopping before we leave this place?

And we are on the move again

Not the best start to a day, rain!

Heavy enough we skipped the first stop, the bog museum as most was outdoors. Instead I had Irish Coffee to warm myself up.

The day magically improved. More great coastline

Around the corner and an even better view of Skywalkers Island

O'Connor's house and more little villiages on the way home

Would like a Euro for every pub we past.

Home again and dinner in the Shire
